We’ve cultivated an extreme sense of superiority over the years, but the reality is the human race is pretty dumb. Sure, we have developed levels of consciousness and communication that far exceeds the capabilities of anything else in the animal kingdom, but we don’t exactly use it for great purposes a lot of the time. At heart, we’re all just slaves to our base impulses, which we have unfortunately been given a megaphone to shout about.

It’s true, we’ve all embarrassed ourselves with the way that we come across at some point. More than that, it is likely to happen to us countless times in our lives. However, what sets us apart is how we react to it. Do we treat it as a learning experience, or double down and get worse, even if that is a terrible thing to do? If the internet is anything to go by, a lot of us do the latter. Well, maybe we are doomed.
