The coffee queue that refused to end

A member told us about their local cafe on a grey Tuesday morning. Someone paid for the coffee behind them, then that person did the same, and it kept rolling for nine cups straight. The barista started keeping score on the back of a receipt. Nobody knew each other. Nobody made a speech. Everyone walked out grinning into the drizzle.
