The street threw a birthday party for a very good dog

Biscuit the golden retriever knows every doorstep on the street, so for his tenth birthday the street decided to know him back. There was a sausage barbecue (dog-safe), a paddling pool, and a card signed by thirty-one humans and four cats, one of whom clearly signed under duress.

Biscuit greeted every guest individually, as is his custom, and fell asleep in the pool at 7pm wearing a party hat.

His owner says the whole thing cost almost nothing and meant everything, which might be the definition of a good party.
