The Laughing Otter
The little library on Fern Street has a policy painted inside the lid: "Happy endings only. Life has enough plot twists." Donations are vetted by a panel of one — Denise, who reads the last chapter of everything first and is unapologetic about it.
The collection is heavy on romance, cosy mysteries, and books where the dog definitely survives. Borrowers report a suspicious improvement in mood.
