A member told us they took up birdwatching with zero equipment and no intention of leaving the house. One feeder, one window, one mug of tea. Fourteen species so far, all named after relatives.
It costs almost nothing and it turns washing up into a nature documentary. Hobbies do not have to be ambitious to be brilliant.
