The Annual Pumpkin Boat Race Was Pure Chaos

Hollowed-out pumpkins, homemade paddles, and one very confused duck. 10/10 event.

The rules of the Willow Creek Pumpkin Regatta are simple: your vessel must be at least 80% pumpkin, and you must not cry when it sinks. Twelve teams entered this year, including a crew of accountants whose vessel was named "Liquid Asset." The winning pumpkin crossed the pond in four minutes; the losing pumpkin is now part of the pond. A local duck followed the race along the bank, quacking at intervals that witnesses describe as "judgmental."

What is the silliest local event your town runs? We need a list.
